The McMaster Industry Liaison Office (MILO) supports the research endeavours of McMaster University by facilitating collaborative research with industry partners.

Brock University

The University has announced it will relocate its current Hamilton campus to a more accessible location in Burlington, to better serve students and the broader community.

Mohawk College

Mohawk’s IDEAWORKS hub works with startups and established companies to address industry challenges firsthand, often accessing government grants to make applied research opportunities possible.

In 2019, the college developed and launched an industry and employer microsite as part of Burlington’s Red Tape Red Carpet Task Force initiative. The site is designed to help regional businesses attract and retain skilled employees.

Centre for Skills Development

Operating as an independent charity, the Centre builds strategic partnerships with employers in the community, offering them recruitment assistance while training students in careers in half the time of similar college programs.

Funded by the Canadian Government, The Magnet Student Work Placement Program brings together employers and students to create work-integrated learning opportunities through wage subsidies and paid work experiences.

Hosted at the Centre for Climate Change Management at Mohawk College, BACCC is working towards transforming the Bay Area into a thriving and resilient zero carbon community by 2050.
