Endress+Hauser Canada to build new Customer Experience Centre in Burlington and are working with City of Burlington to reduce red tape in attracting business
Burlington, ON, August 15, 2019 – Endress+Hauser Canada to build new Customer Experience Centre in Burlington and are working with City of Burlington to reduce red tape in attracting business
Endress+Hauser Canada will build a new $28 million, 47,000 sq. ft. Customer Experience Centre in Burlington. Just steps from their existing headquarters, the choice to expand in Burlington demonstrates the unique value the Burlington business community offers to companies. The new space will emphasize sustainability throughout while delivering a superior customer and employee experience. The new two-storey building endeavours to achieve the LEED Gold certification standard and to function on a net zero carbon and net zero energy basis. The groundbreaking will take place on August 29th, RSVP here.
“Our goal is to create an exceptional facility in all respects that will not only be sustainable on the day it opens, but will still be considered as such decades from now,” says Anthony Varga, CEO and General Manager, Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd.
The current 27,000 sq. ft. headquarters is primarily an administration building with few customer services, except one classroom used for training purposes. The new facility, planned for occupancy in the Fall of 2020, will be a full-fledged Customer Experience Centre featuring the company’s second Process Training Unit (PTU) in Canada, as well as other world-class customer features such as a calibration laboratory, an expanded workshop and a large training centre.
Burlington Economic Development’s Acting Executive Director Anita Cassidy is excited about this new opportunity for Burlington “Endress+Hauser is a global leader in high technology process control systems for a variety of industries. Burlington looks forward to welcoming their new headquarters and continuing to work with them on the City of Burlington pilot program.”
In June, City Council identified the opportunity to learn from Endress+Hauser on reducing red tape. The City of Burlington will be working with Endress+Hauser on a pilot program to leverage their industry leading expertise in Project Management and Lean Management to better understand how the City can support top employers to locate and grow in Burlington. Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward “I’m thrilled to see these recommendations progressing thanks to the input of so many local business leaders and am very excited to welcome Endress+Hauser’s new expanded Canadian headquarters to our City!”
The official groundbreaking will take place on August 29th at 2pm. Learn more here.
