Burlington Once Again Ranks One of The Globe and Mail’s Most Livable Cities in Canada
Burlington has once again been recognized as one of Canada’s most livable cities, earning top rankings in the latest Globe and Mail Most Livable Cities report.
In the 2025 edition, Burlington ranked 18th overall in Canada. Among Ontario cities of comparable size (100,000–499,999 residents), Burlington stood out across several key indicators that matter to residents, businesses, and investors alike.
Notably, Burlington ranked:
- 4th most livable city in Ontario
- #1 safest city of its size in Ontario
- 2nd most robust economy in Ontario for cities of its size
- 5th for education in Ontario for cities of its size
- 3rd for transportation in Ontario for cities of its size
- 3rd most vibrant community in Ontario for cities of its size
